It’s been three weeks since we broke up … 24 days to be precise. Every one who has been through a break up knows – it’s hard! But believe me: It’s even harder when you are still in love. It’s a situation no one ever prepared me for. And it’s a situation I never expected to go through … and even though I loved him so much, I was the one who chose to walk away.
We had met on a typical Saturnight in a Bar in Hongdae. After pre-gaming with a guy I had met the night before, I ended up hopping on the last subway to meet my friends, who later on introduced me to the boy I now call my ex-boyfriend. He looked like a typical fuckboy: Tattoos all over his arms, hands and even his neck, perfectly parted dark hair and an arrogant smile on his face. We all got drunk together and shortly after I found myself in his arms, exchanging steamy kisses on the dance floor. I went home that night. Alone. And I remember falling into my bed just labeling it as one of the usual hook ups we all have, right? But this time was different. Weiterlesen „On Breaking Up With Someone You Still Love“
It’s Sunday – and that usually means laying in bed all day, bingewatching Keeping up with the Kardashians and stalking my friends on social media. I don’t know about you, but every once in a while I stumble upon a super deep and fun quote on Instagram, take a screenshot and most likely forget about it shortly after. So needless to say: I have piled up quite a collection of motivating and empowering quotes on my phone over the years.
Time to share them all, don’t you think? And since I had quite a stressful week, let me share my favorite quotes with you – all about female empowerment of course 😉

I love Hip Hop. Whether it’s underground Korean Hip Hop or Tyga’s newest album- chances are you will see me dressed in one of my favorite baseball caps and a crop top twerking with my girls in our favorite Hip Hop Club. And while I’m jamming with my friend to 3 X In a Row right now (an oldie but a goodie – anyone with me here?!) it automatically threw me back to one of the worst party nights ever which … you guessed it … took place at one of Seoul’s most famous Hip Hop Clubs.
It was during those last warm nights in October when my girlfriends and I decided to spoil ourselves with a legendary party night in Hongdae – and with that I mean getting a table with a shit ton of booze feeling like badass bitches blowing their pocket money for the weekend. The night started like a usual Saturdaynight: We hopped on the sub later than expected, pregamed with Tequila shots at a random bar in Sinchon and showed up to the club last minute before the guest list closed. I already started falling head over heels for pretty much every good-looking boy that we passed by, making me feel like a hormone driven teenager again. Little did I know – those guys were only the appetizers for the main dishes waiting inside. Weiterlesen „Confessions of a Party Girl: A Night Between K-Pop Look-alikes and Party Pills“
Being a rebellious 20-something years old in the 21st century you might guess: Getting tattooed has always been a plan of mine and when I accompanied a friend to her tattoo appointment last year, I realized: It’s about time to finally tick that point off my bucketlist.
My friend had found a young, energetic and talented artist on Instagram named Ida, who had raised in popularity after being interviewed in the i-D documentary ‚Grace Neutral Explores Korea’s Illegal Beauty Scene‘. So needless to say, I was super pumped when I first stepped foot into Ida’s studio, located in one of the unknown side streets in Itaewon. I’m sure you have already heard of Seoul’s crazy coffeeshop culture. For those of you who haven’t, let me enlighten you real quick: Koreans love coffee and what they love even more is going to coffeeshops. Believe me, your Korean friends will find a million reasons to go to coffeeshops. You want to have a date? Go to a coffeeshop. You just wanna have some emergency girltalk at 10 pm? You go to a coffeeshop. And when your friends invite you to a study session outside of the library, believe me, you will find yourself in a coffeeshop surrounded by millions of other students hiding their faces behind heavy books there.
So since Seoul is spiked with interesting, individualistic and fun coffeeshops to go to, my girlfriends and I ended up going on some adventure time today to find another trending place in Seoul – and we found it. Weiterlesen „Now Trending: Standard Love Dance – Every Girl’s Paradise“
If going clubbing was a legit major, I would probably be a student with honors. Since I have been in Korea I have pretty much not left out on any party. Hanging out at the infamous Playground while getting drunk of some cheapass Soju? Did that. Went to a rooftop party on a hot and steamy summer night? Done that. Getting into four clubs for free in one night at Itaewon? Check. Blacking out in Hongdae and waking up with a stamp from Mike’s Cabin? Not proud of it, but yeah, I also did that. And don’t judge me by the way – we all now that Mike’s is a magical place – especially after one of their gross fire shots. So I like to consider myself a very well experienced partygirl, that knows many of the people in the clubbing scene if that’s how you wanna call it. And even though I do appreciate a great buzz and an even better party at least once a week – I have to admit: The magic is slowly vanishing. Weiterlesen „Confessions of a Party Girl“

When you have been living in Seoul for quite some time, you sometimes forget how many places you still haven’t discovered! So when my friend from Belgium hit me up, I decided to join her for some hella needed girltalks and a Hot Chocolate in Itaewon.
After having a typical Korean dinner in one of the hidden side streets (I was surprised that you can even find cheap Korean food in the infamous foreigner district), we decided to switch it up a little and go to one of Seoul’s latest trending hotspots: a warehouse cafe!
